Claim 1: No understanding of the job of Clerk of Courts and no Courthouse or legal experience.
When Zach ran for Clerk in 2022, the same questions about his experience, knowledge of the job, and readiness to lead the office were raise.
How did Zach respond? He skipped the only forum, didn't share his resume, and he gave surface level (political) answers for newspaper responses.
Since then, Zach has not spent any meaningful time in the Courthouse preparing for a role that requires significant Courthouse knowledge, relationships, and understanding of process.
On the campaign, Zach has referred to himself as a court services professional which would infer that he spends time working in our courts.
The truth is that since 2021, Zach has been a private investigator who also serves process. This work may occasionally interact with portions of the justice process, this business venture won't prepare Zach for service as the chief administrative professional in the courthouse.

Claim 2: Did not support funding public safety or Courts in budget votes.
In campaign literature, Zach has used his service on the Kenosha County Board as another way to convince voters that he's ready to be our next Clerk of Circuit Court.
On the County Board, Zach's tenure was marked by fierce debate amongst colleagues, a lost County iPad (at your expense), and votes against public safety and our Courts.
In July 2020, just weeks before Kenosha's riots, Zach sponsored amendments to pull funding from Sheriff’s patrol vehicles and get rid of department equipment, then in 2022 voted against setting the salaries of the Sheriff and the very Clerk of Courts office he would later run for (and is running for).

Claim 3: Never bothered to learn the Courts that he now wants to run.
When reviewing Zach's responses to pre-election questions from local media, Zach's answers demonstrate that he hasn't learned about the Courts that he now wants to run.
Committing to professional assistance, accessibility and efficiency, and respectful service are admirable business goals, they demonstrate that Zach doesn't have a clear cut plan on actual work needed to be done inside of the Clerk of Circuit Courts office.
